#OWS

by Michael on October 14, 2011

There’s a lot that interests me about the Occupy Wall Street movement, but I haven’t completely made up my mind yet. Suffice to say however that tomorrow will likely be a big day.

There isn’t usually much good useful news to be found on TreeHugger, but this caught my attention. From a game theory perspective, the #OWS folks have two options: resist the police and risk alienating “middle America” (what a nonsense term) with a police confrontation or acquiesce and risk getting shut out and losing the groups’ coherence (at least in NYC). I heard some wealthy person offered to pay for the park cleanup, but my guess is the city and park “owners” won’t back down at this point. Maybe they’ll think of something?

The outcome will interest me.
